I remember back in the days (2006), there were a few people I looked up to for inspiration. Although, I personally haven’t met them, I felt there were connections I could relate to. I’m not talking about success because I know I have a long way to go, but in particular we were similar in age.
One person is Andrew, I forgot his last name but he’s one of the reasons I believe you can make a living off the net. You can check out his personal blog at Andrew Fashion. Why he inspired me? He made his first million while being a teenager. He developed a website, MySpaceSupport.com, which offered MySpace users with content they can use for their profiles such as layouts and graphics. Within 18 months, he made a profit of $1.8 million. What followed was a spending spree of purchasing cars such as a BMW 3 and 6 series (in cash) and a house he couldn’t pay off due to other extravagant spending and failed investment. However, this was in 2008/9 when I last checked his blog.
Jumping 2-3 years ahead to November 2011, I checked his blog and to my delight he’s racking in tons of money. What inspires me isn’t the $30k he earn’t last month(just in affiliate marketing) but the strength and determination to overcome the numerous business failures and personal issues. I am sure many people, having $1.8 million in the bank and losing nearly everything, would already have give up and possibly find a normal job.
Personally, over the past few years what I gained most wasn’t the money, but the knowledge, experience and self believe, which has allowed me to become closer towards my goal. Again, this is a great example showing how one believing in their own ability and stick towards their goals, can achieve great things.
